What is the best area of Los Angeles to stay in?

I figured that Beverly Hills and Hollywood were the safest parts to stay in but I wasn’t sure about downtown LA. A friend and I are staying there for a month and we are both 20 year old smaller girls, so we DON’T want to be near a rough side of town, because I’ve heard that certain parts of LA aren’t safe.

Hot water baseboard - water flowing loudly through pipes?

My hot water baseboard system has recently gotten very loud. It’s always banged a little bit, but now I can hear the water sloshing around when the pipes are filling up. I’ve never heard the water before in the three years I’ve lived here. Is this a sign of something that may be beginning to fail? I have my furnace serviced every year. Thanks for any feedback!

Whats the best way to get to know a girl in your class? She’s really cute! We will talk during class. During a class discussion, I came up with a valid point, and she was like noo that doesn’t make sense, so i presented my theory to the professor, and the prof said that mine does in fact make sense. Then the girl i like “ok maybe you’re right” and gave me a cute smile.

I’m interested in getting into riding, I’ve never done it before. After I have a beginner bike for a while I’ll get something more permanent, and would probably want a custom paintjob on my bike and helmet. Are there any websites that showcase custom jobs and what people have had done?

Can someone suggest a few bars or clubs in OC / LA county area where indian / desi girls hang out?

I’m not requiring a place that is exclusively desi / indian — id just like to be in a place where I have the option to meet desi girls for once. I go to bars and clubs and very rarely ever see a single desi girl—maybe I am just going to the wrong spots. If someone knows of any hang out spots, I would appreciate hearing about them.
