What are good ways to meet girls at the beach? - 16 yr. old guy?

Like I said, I’m a 16 year old guy who is going down to the beach for a week. Nobody my age is going so it is sure to be boring and so I’m gonna try and get to know some girls down there.
I’m not an nerd or anything and have friends that are girls but have a tough time meeting new people at random. I’m not ripped or incredibly hot but I’m not ugly either; I’m just a normal guy. I guess I just struggle with taking the first step, I’m not quite sure what we could talk about and I don’t want people to think I’m a moron (I care too much what people think of me sometimes). Any tips from guys or girls would be appreciated.

I have been bisexual for over 15 years and haven’t found a nice girl to date since college. I do not want to pick up a girl at a bar. I am a single mom. I want a ‘normal’ life for my son, but my sexual urges won’t stop even if I’m in a relationship w/a man. I’m not into group *** or threesomes.

I been told so many times that i don’t look ugly and i just need to have some confidence. While, i may not buy it because im just an average looking guy, i still wonder about confidence. Why are girls turned on by confidence? I seen alot of super attractive girls with wierd looken guys and i wonder if confidence has something to do. What is it about confidence girls dig?
