How do you politely talk with a self-centered old roommate?

This person used to be my friend as well as my roommate, but it’s gotten more and more difficult to talk with her (we’ll call her AC). We lived together for 2 years, with two other girls. This past year, one of the other girls left for another community, and the other girl we lived with lives with me in a new apartment. AC is somewhat self-centered without realizing it, and we had a few problems with her while living together (i.e. she’d eat our food (to extremes) and would be publically affection with her bf, and complain about her graduate schoolwork being much harder than our undergraduate curriculum). She likes to IM or call, but it almost always ends up being a - gee look how wonderful (or awful) my life is, sympathize with me and tell me how great (or how unfair) my life is. What’s a polite way to get her to realize that the world doesn’t always revolve around her, without blowing up at her for past issues we had in the room together?

Is this a good idea for a book?

Okay, so I’m writing a story about a girl who’s best friend goes to the UK for spring break and she’s stuck in her hole of a town. I’m basing this off of my real situation right now. My friend is in the UK, traveling to Scotland AS WE SPEAK. She sent me some e-mails and I plan on using them in the story. Each chapter will be headed with one of her e-mails.
So far it’s called “Screaming From the Gallery” based on the Beatles song because 1) The girls are huge Beatles fans, and 2) Their names are Rose and Valerie.

I also,have bad grammar and spelling mistakes and dont need others to tell me it,thank God Y/A have spelling check, sometimes i drive the poor thing crazy cuz it just keeps on spinning!!

I use simple baby words,i admire what i type,there times i get suprised of myself alot!!

heres a brief scenerio: Im at the club I see this fine girl, as i approach her I notice my worst fear that every guy at the club faces, THE C@CK BLOCKING FAT FRIEND!!! So, i take a heavy swag of my beer and enter the battlefield in pursuit of the pink taco. Thanks to Maxim magazines techniques and advice, i was ready for action, One strategy is for the wing man to take one for the team, another one is focus more conversation time to the fat friend, so the hot girl will think your a nice guy and not shallow and the fat friend will approve of you. There are many techniques you can use… But why put us through all this?! Because the last thing we want to hear is the fat friend saying she wants to go home, and automatically the hot girl that your rappin to immidiately listens to c@ck block girl, leaving you playing with the skin flute at the end of the night. Is it written on a stone tablet that “Thy hotness shall be paired with thy fatiness?” OR the hotties just trying to stand out?

I don’t have money to get it done professionally and I would love to have blonde hair! So is there a dye you can buy that will work?
My hair is naturally black and I want to dye it blonde but it always comes out brown with regular dye and I don’t want to get it done professionally. So is there a product that will work?
