How can I strike up a conversation with a shy girl at school if she always has friends nearby. Although sometimes her friends are all in a circle and she is all by herself just outside kinda standing there.

ask her a question about school (ex. did you think the math test was hard)
this is an excuse to start a conversation
next ask her something like how was your day
it’s not guernteed to work, but if you know what you are doing it should
